Indonesia says no to Lady Gaga
The Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, has 52,000 sold-out seats for the eagerly awaited Lady Gaga gig – Born this way Ball - coming up in June. Tickets sold out within two hours of going on sale, thousand upon thousand of Singapores die-hard Gaga fans are expectantly daydreaming and looking forward to seeing her live.
The only problem is this, hard-liners in the country are criticising Lady Gaga of over-sexiness and raunchy moves, discussing if the suggestive nature of her show is going to undermine moral-fibre and Islamic values. A police spokesperson has confirmed that the permit for her show has indeed been denied, and there has been talk of physical force to stop her disembarking from the plane. Geez Indonesia, what are you scared of?
Lady Gaga has already has already been on her South Asia tour for over a month now. Her concerts in South Korea were limited to over-18s only however, another reflection of a more tight-lipped culture.
Michael Rusli, a local promoter has told The Association of Press that it would be regrettable if Lady Gaga is denied her gig. Jakarta resident Mariska Renata who has tickets to the show, said she was “Very disappointed” and “we are mature enough to be able to separate our own moral values from arts and culture.”

Pierre Robert’s Lucy dies
Despite being one of the man’s best animals, dogs never live long. However, they know how to associate with their masters. Perhaps, this is why when a dog die, the master feel the pain.
A good indication of how bad one can feel when they lose their pet was seen recently when Pierre Robert’s Lucy died. The pooch that was met then petted by many rock stars died on Friday. The rock stars who loved the pet included Bon Jovi, Chrissy Hynde from the pretenders and Judas priest. The dog is reported to have died because of failure to function of several organs. She died at the age of thirteen an a half years.
When asked to comment about the dog, Robert said this dog had in the recent years become a sort of station mascot. When the dog started having some sort of orthopedic issues some time back, Robert began to take her to his working place. Robert reported that the dog started having chiropractic, water therapy and acupuncture treatments in the recent years. However, the dog fell seriously ill before her death. This is when Robert became very worried.
Robert says that this dog has taught him many things. He has learned to appreciate dogs more that some people dog. He says that a dog is a creature that can keep you company even when everybody else has left you alone. Robert observes that a dog is a magical creature. However, the sad this is that they do not get to live long. Robert says that getting another golden retriever that will meet qualities that the late dog had will not be easy. This is because just like human being, one has to bond with their dogs. This may take some time for the bond to develop to certain levels like the one he had reached with the dog.
